Tania Laughton
I am a certified teaching member of Alexander Technique International (ATI). My Somatic Studies, together with my university degree in Exceptionality in Human Learning, have shaped my teaching style and have helped me develop a better understanding of individuals' needs and sensibilities. I have learned a more holistic approach to teaching, dealing with a student as a whole person, while slowly guiding them through a process that will lead them to a better quality of life and to rediscover their inherent poise. I graduated from Susan Sinclair's Alexander Teacher training program in 2013, where I worked with Martha Hansen Fertman, Sakiko Ishitsubo, Peter Nobes, and David Gorman. I have also trained as a dancer for over two decades. I am currently exploring both roles (leader and follower) in Tango.

Rosslyn McLeod
My own Alexander studies began more than fifty years ago. My Alexander teacher training was in the 1970s and 1980s. Melbourne 1986–1996 was when I did my research into Alexander's Australian years, 1869–1904. My book about those times – Up From Down Under – is now in a 4th edition, published by Mouritz. My 70 minute DVD – Frederick Matthias Alexander His Life... His Legacy... – covers both Alexander's own life and the development of his work, and modern day use of the Alexander Technique.

Alexander Technique Teacher • Music Educator • Mezzo-Soprano • Flautist
Dr. Maria Weiss is an internationally certified teacher of the F. M. Alexander Technique (ATI – Alexander Technique International, ATVD – German Society for the Alexander Technique, AmSAT – American Society for the Alexander Technique) as well as a trained singer and flautist. She completed her Alexander Technique training from 1998 to 2001 with Ruth Kilroy (ATTC) and Rivka Cohen in Boston. In 2005, she earned her Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Voice Performance from Boston University with the dissertation The Alexander Technique and the Art of Teaching Voice (published in 2009). She also holds two master's degrees from the Mozarteum University Salzburg – one in flute pedagogy and the other in music education and instrumental instruction for high schools – as well as a bachelor's degree in vocal pedagogy. In addition to her academic and artistic credentials, she is a certified music kinesiologist, systemic coach, and visual trainer. As a soprano – and later, after changing vocal fach, as a mezzo-soprano – Maria Weiss performed leading roles in Mozart's Don Giovanni and Così fan tutte. She appeared regularly in solo and chamber music concerts and lieder recitals across Austria, Germany, Italy, and the United States. Her artistic focus lies in sacred music, particularly Masses, Passions, and oratorios.
Since 2005, she has co-directed the Weiss Institute together with her husband, Dr. Joseph Weissenberg – a thriving private studio for Alexander Technique, music, and movement education located south of Munich. In 2020, they expanded the institute's offerings with a comprehensive online program. From 2013 to 2020, Dr. Maria Weiss also served as lead trainer at the Bavarian Alexander Technique Training Center (BATC), which she founded.
Her volunteer work includes roles on the press committee of ATVD (2008–2012), the Ethics Advisory Committee of ATI (2016–2020), as an ATI sponsor (since 2019), board member (2020–2022), co-chair of the ATI Board of Directors (2022–2024), and member of the ATI Research Group (since 2024). Dr. Maria Weiss finds her greatest fulfillment in working with musicians – helping them align their personal and artistic goals through the principles of the Alexander Technique, and in doing so, unlock their full potential and authentic expression.
