Corinne CassiniCorinne Cassini, mATI, RSME, is a professionally trained cellist, and teaches the Alexander Technique at the Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University, and privately in Boone, NC, since 2012, guiding performing artists and many others both individually, in groups, and in workshop settings. Her first Alexander lessons were over 30 years ago at the Eastman School of Music. She trained in the Netherlands and subsequently completed a post-graduate training with Tommy Thompson and is inspired by David Gorman's Learning Methods. For the past 5 years, she's been learning a trauma-informed approach to the Alexander work with Betsy Polatin. She is a certified Alexander in Education teacher since 2022 after completing training with "The Developing Self" in AT pedagogy for primary and secondary education. In 2015, she started training Alexander teachers at her school, Light in Being-Alexander Teacher Training in Boone, NC. She has been an ATI Sponsor since 2021.Corinne enjoys facilitating and witnessing people’s physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual growth towards an embodied and expanded experience of ease, presence, wholeness, and joy.
