An Update

The board is heartbroken to inform you that we cannot hold our ACGM in Germany this year. This has nothing to do with the number of registrants we have. We do have enough to justify holding it. The deciding factor is that Hotel Müggelsee has been sold. Already, events there have been canceled due to a significant shortage of staff. There is no assurance that our event will not be canceled, and at this point there are no other hotels available in the Berlin area to move our event to. We cannot wait any longer to make a decision.

Site Coordinators Maria Weiss and Rosa Luisa Rossi have put so much time, energy, and care into organizing what would have been a spectacular 30th celebration. But it is not to be. Instead, we will have a virtual conference once again October 14-19, 2022 with time for more workshops. We hope to be able to have an ATI gathering spot at the International Congress in Berlin. More on that later. Hopefully we will finally meet in person in Boone in 2023.

We realize that some of you have already made plane reservations. We will do our best to help you find alternative accommodations if you cannot change your flight. Perhaps we can organize some casual get togethers while we wait for the Congress to begin. If you have already paid for your hotel and meal fees, we will be refunding those payments over the next couple of days. If you have open invoices, those fees will be removed.

Please accept our heartfelt apologies for this inconvenience—and for not being able to hold an in-person event. We thank you for understanding this unexpected situation.  There is nothing we could have done to avoid this; essentially it has been another effect of the pandemic.

Registration

Registration is now re-opened for our now entirely virtual conference in October. Please bear with us as we work swiftly to make updates both in the registration form and on the website. If you see any indicators that the ACGM are in-person, these are out-of-date messages and will be taken down as soon as possible. The ATI board has decided to keep the same fee structure as last year. The virtual conference fees are as follows.

Virtual attendee fees (USD):
The suggested amounts are:
$250 $150 $50

We will be using the honor system again this year: you can choose the amount that you can afford to pay. All we ask that if you can pay more, please do, with our thanks, as it helps those who cannot afford a larger fee.
